ORGATROP

Abstract & Paper Submission

We invite potential participants to submit abstracts on any aspect of organic agriculture in the tropics. Abstracts will be reviewed and authors will be notified about acceptance of the abstract. There will be oral presentations during both plenary and parallel sessions, and poster presentations during dedicated poster sessions. Upon abstract submission, authors should select preference for:

a) oral presentation;

b) poster presentation.

Only one oral presentation is allowed per registered participant. However, there is no limitation on the number of posters presented per registered participant. The preference for oral or poster presentation specified by the authors at submission is indicative only. Final decisions on whether a presentation is accepted as oral or poster will be made by the scientific committee on the basis of the abstracts submitted. We hope you will understand that it may not be possible to accommodate all requests for oral presentations.

Final decisions on oral (plenary or possibly parallel session) or poster presentations will be communicated soon after the abstract submission deadline, i.e. by the latest end of March

We will also invite all authors of accepted abstract to submit a six page paper for the Conference proceedings. These conference proceedings will be under the form of a book with ISBN number, and will be distributed to all participants at the start of the conference.

Apart from publication in the Conference Proceedings, a selection of papers will be published in a Scopus indexed open-access journal. Papers published in such a journal will be subject to a publication fee to be determined later. Another selection of papers will be published, after peer review, in the Springer journal “Organic Agriculture”, the official journal of The International Society of Organic Agriculture Research (visit http://link.springer.com/journal/13165 for more details). This will be free of charge.

More information on the journals and on the formatting of papers for these journals will be made available in the coming months.

Only abstracts and papers of officially registered authors that have paid the registration fee will be published. All other abstracts and papers will be removed from the book of abstracts and from the proceedings after the registration deadline has passed (see Registration).
